About the role

  • Lead and manage the operational procurement department for the assigned site
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and other departments to align purchasing activities with business needs
  • Drive cost efficiency by identifying cost savings opportunities and implementing strategic cost-reduction initiatives
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in releasing, confirming, and monitoring purchase orders to support on-time delivery
  • Maintain compliance with regulations, standards, and company procurement processes
  • Build relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to strengthen supply chain reliability
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement
  • Manage inventory levels of critical materials and components in alignment with defined target values
  • Support strategic procurement by partnering with sourcing leads to execute strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Develop talent within the purchasing team by determining staffing needs, providing training, and fostering skill development
  • Analyze and report procurement metrics, risks, and opportunities, using data-driven insights to guide decision-making

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in supply chain or operations management, ideally in engineered-to-order products or a similar field
  • Proven team leadership and project management experience
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Epicor or similar)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools
  • Demonstrated skills in problem-solving, analytics, and supply chain issue resolution
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Complies with ISO 14001 and ISO 9001, and other relevant standards
