About the role

  • Bridge the gap between engineering designs and successful execution in production
  • Interpret complex mechanical and electrical engineering documentation and translate into manufacturing
  • Lead migration of design documentation into production-specific information and manufacturing systems
  • Serve as primary point of contact for planning deliverables and coordinate with purchasing, production, inventory, and project management
  • Create and maintain Manufacturing Processes and Work Instructions aligned with Engineering Document Control and company standards
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve First Pass Yield (FPY) and Overall Process Effectiveness (OPE)
  • Oversee collaboration with outside suppliers and vendors to secure quotes and provide technical support
  • Ensure accuracy of planning deliverables and manufacturing data within ERP and identify optimization opportunities
  • Lead identification of gauging, tooling, and specialized equipment needed for production
  • Represent manufacturing engineering in cross-functional meetings to align timelines and resolve technical issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role with demonstrated leadership responsibilities
  • Proven experience with manufacturing process design, process improvements, and leading Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA)
  • Extensive experience with manufacturing processes, mechanical machinery, power electronics, or industrial controls
  • Experience reading and interpreting fabrication drawings, electrical schematics, and Engineering Bills of Materials
  • Familiarity with sourcing, purchasing practices, production management, and advanced continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, SolidWorks, and productivity software (Google Suite, Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment across multiple sites with a geographically dispersed team
  • Willingness to participate in drug and alcohol program due to safety-sensitive designation
