Support development, scale-up, and optimization of advanced composite structures for aerospace applications and hands-on manufacturing in a fast-paced production environment
Develop, implement, and optimize composite manufacturing processes (layup, cure, bonding, trimming, machining, and assembly)
Translate engineering requirements into robust manufacturing work instructions and tooling concepts
Collaborate with design engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure manufacturability, repeatability, and cost-effectiveness of composite parts
Conduct process development trials and lead root cause analysis for non-conformances, implementing corrective and preventive actions
Define tooling requirements and support the design, procurement, and qualification of new tooling and fixtures
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in cycle time reduction, yield improvement, and automation of composite processes
Prepare and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), travelers, and control plans
Support supplier qualification and technical reviews for composite materials and processes
Train and mentor technicians and junior engineers on composite processes and best practices
Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ASTM, SAE, NADCAP) and internal quality requirements
