About the role

  • Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers, managing, coaching, and developing a high-performing team that fosters continuous improvement and technical excellence
  • Drive continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, tools, and workflows to increase production output, reduce cycle times, and minimize defects
  • Serve as key technical lead for New Product Introduction (NPI), leading DFM, DFA and PFMEA initiatives to ensure seamless transitions from development to production
  • Provide hands-on technical support to contract manufacturing production lines, quickly resolving issues and implementing robust corrective and preventive actions
  • Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Software, Technical Service and Program Management to drive strategic initiatives and ensure organizational alignment
  • Utilize data and analytics to monitor KPIs, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve manufacturing operations
  • Own full lifecycle manufacturing responsibilities to scale production and implement best practices that deliver quality, service, and cost efficiency

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing or manufacturing engineering, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership role
  • Demonstrated results setting up and leading production of electromechanical contract manufacturing partners, domestic and international
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Deep expertise in manufacturing processes, including lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and assembly line optimization
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proven track record of solving complex production issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team to achieve ambitious goals
  • Ability to be in the office 4-5 days per week
  • Must be able to travel up to 25%, mainly domestic with occasional overseas travel (3-5 times/year)
