About the role
- Create documentation of structural, payload and bus tooling/equipment system integration based on design requirements throughout vehicle lifecycle
- Develop, maintain, modify and interpret tooling/equipment engineering documentation using 3-D CAD tools (PTC Creo, CreoView, Creo-Simulate), GD&T (ASME Y14.5M) standards and/or other design methods
- Support design of appendage deployment tests tooling to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
- Evaluate program and project requirements, develop complex equipment and tooling concepts and design solutions for the Production System
- Create dispositions and closure of vehicle integration and structure business unit related process anomalies
- Validate contractual performance milestones, maintain configuration control, conduct reviews, prepare plans for production readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares
- Participate in all manufacturing tooling assembly operations with focus on customer satisfaction
- Actively support design for manufacturing, integration reviews and process improvements by reviewing previous designs/lessons learned, regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and/or contracts
- Support preliminary design layouts, sketches, preliminary strength analysis to support trade studies, develop structural technology, testing requirements, materials, processes, and tools, define interfaces
- Support the evaluation and resolution of production and service issues
- Support management of the engineering project by providing status and following the project plan
- Assist in supporting proposal preparation and new business development efforts including work statement estimates (cost, schedule, task breakdown) and marketing support
- Compile and analyze technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design and rate estimates, identify robotics, automation or technology recommendations and system integration for equipment and tooling
- Ensure compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements
- Actively seek learning opportunities, participate in training, and study Boeing processes and procedures to increase personal knowledge and understanding of project management

Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 3+ years of experience developing 3D CAD models and/or drawings
- 3+ years of experience working with cross-functional or cross-organizational teams to develop and/or support IT project plans and schedules
- Experience working within a fast-paced team environment with strong communication skills to frequently interact with Program Leadership, internal and external customer representatives and development teams
- Mid-level: typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications
- Senior level: typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications
- 3+ years of experience using Creo (preferred)
- 3+ years of applied experience in developing and providing instruction of technical documentation and training material for Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience with Platform Structures or Subsystems design, integration and/or analysis experience (preferred)
- Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
- "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required for export control compliance
