Perform design database and documentation checking for new design and drawing release or revisions to existing design and drawings
Determine proper specifications for materials, finishes and processes, connectors, or other electrical & mechanical components
Apply knowledge of manufacturing, tolerancing, and producibility capabilities during the design process to ensure cost effective design
Apply Company, Industry, and Contractual standards during the preparation of hardware design and documentation data
Complete the preparation of the necessary technical documentation for the release of Hardware design
Enter data into the company documentation control system
Assist with CAD tool support testing and debugging of software tools as vendor releases them (as requested)
Provide validation of change definition artifacts and revision capture into formal design and documentation data in accordance with defined change requirements
Requirements
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
Less than 2 years of prior relevant experience
Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written)
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment (Relocation is not offered)
Basic understanding of GD&T principles (preferred)
Basic understanding of ASME standards (preferred)
Basic understanding of PDM (Teamcenter, ENOVIA, etc.) (preferred)
Experience with 3D CAD modeling software (NX or SolidWorks preferred)
