About the role
- Report to the Team Lead in C&L Infrastructure and support the Sentinel program
- Design, document, and test cables and/or breakout boxes
- Conduct LRU interface research, process documents, and collaborate with other engineers to determine best design for each set of cables
- Integrate delivered LRUs under direction of the technical lead
- Work on hardware design, schematics, and detailed design tasks
- Follow PLM processes and comply with mil-spec requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support system hardware requirement clarification
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience; or 0 years of experience with a Master's degree
- Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years
- Electrical Engineer with some experience with hardware design
- Proficient with any electrical CAD tool set
- Must know how to design schematics and be good with detailed design work
- Familiar with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) processes (any tool)
- Comfortable understanding mil-specs and have an ability to understand and clarify system hardware requirements
- Travel: Yes, 10% of the Time
- Nice to have: Capital Logic, Harness, and Systems Architect tool experience
- Nice to have: Experience with Siemens Team Center PLM
- Nice to have: Hardware system architecture design and development experience
- Nice to have: Electrical hardware design expertise (not just cables)
- Nice to have: IPC 620 experience
- Nice to have: Facility wiring experience (power or low voltage signal) including NFPA-70
