About the role
- Work with Software Engineering, Airplane Systems, e-Enabling, SW ME, Cyber Security, SQA, Regulatory Administration, and others to redefine Loadable Software workflows in support of the BEDS replacement
- Develop, write, and release configuration management standards and production processes for loadable software
- Engage with Airline Customers, Suppliers, and industry working groups to understand and provide feedback on processes and standards impacting ACLSPs
- Work with Loadable Software Standards, Software Quality, and Distribution teams on documents and process flow for integrated processes
- Develop and provide training materials and checklists for Design Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Technicians, Quality Inspectors, and other roles on loadable software standards and processes
- Coordinate with LSW ME, Program Planning & Control and CDS system focal to develop and implement changes unifying production and post-production releases
- Review newly developed airplane systems SCDs for alignment with LSW Standards
- Represent loadable software processes on BCA boards such as PTRB
- Serve as subject matter expert for loadable software configuration management and coordinate with EBOM/MBOM on DCAC and ENOVIA system requirements
- Provide ongoing support to production and development airplane programs on design standards, configuration control, product data management, and factory/flight line production issues
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 3+ years of experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Configuration Management systems, Change Management, and PLM Processes and Tools
- 3+ years of experience with defining process flows, process diagrams, and process documentation
- 3+ years of experience with Product Data Management (PDM) systems and Configuration Management Process
- Knowledge of DCAC/PDM and ENOVIA Product Definition Data tools
- Understanding of PLM and product lifecycle management (documents, processes)
- Knowledge of manufacturing, factory/flight line processes for managing software parts
- Understanding of product requirements relevant to certification, configuration, data and data management and engineering processes
- Knowledge of DO-178 and other applicable standards and regulations (preferred)
- Travel: 10% or less
- Must meet export control compliance: be a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15
