About the role
- Join KC‑46 Quality team to ensure safety, reliability, and global readiness of the Air Force KC‑46 refueling tanker
- Lead quality innovation: drive root‑cause fixes, supplier excellence, drawing reviews, APQP, process surveillances, and MECR approvals
- Research contractual and BQMS requirements for applicability to proposals and program processes and documentation
- Develop sections of quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, company and regulatory requirements
- Analyze capability assessments to support supplier selection and conduct process validations
- Participate in design and production reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs
- Perform data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness and compile performance/statistical reports
- Provide material review dispositions for non‑conformances and analyze trends to evaluate corrective action effectiveness
- Perform analysis, tests and process audits; recommend corrective actions and conduct benchmarking to achieve process capability levels
- Work cross‑functionally under general supervision (Level 2) or general direction (Level 3) and support on‑site Everett, WA operations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Data Science, IT, Biology, Environmental Science, Management Science, Quality Systems, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Management in Quality, Life Sciences, Statistics, Aviation/Aerospace fields)
- 3+ years of experience working with quality systems (e.g., Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), ISO 9001, AS9100)
- Preferred: 3+ years defining, developing, implementing, or improving production processes
- Preferred: 3+ years in data analysis and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
- Preferred: 3+ years experience in quality inspection and/or auditing
- Preferred: 3+ years experience with reading and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start) — U.S. Citizenship required
- Export control compliance: must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
