Serve as the lead engineer for one of our fuel related work packages on SAOC
Design and model the fuel system in CATIA 3DX
Work with SMEs to implement best practices for the design
Review the design with UMs/DERs to insure that the design is certifiable
Work with other IPTs to define interfaces with other work packages
Work with SEIT Team to create L4 and L5 system requirements
Provide status to the technical lead and Program Manager on a weekly basis
Research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy and improve products and systems across the product lifecycle
Conceptualize and deliver complex mechanical structures and systems
Requirements
Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related discipline
Typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
Experience with aircraft fuel systems
Understanding of engineering principles and practices
Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools
Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
Experience with CATIA 3DX (preferred)
Experience applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 (preferred)
Understanding of Engineering Simulation such as Finite Element structural analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Thermal Analysis (preferred)
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry (preferred)
Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles including parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing, and production processes (preferred)
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance
