About the role
- Collaborate with the sustenance and engineering teams globally.
- Work with Advanced Surgical Instruments involving Concept development, Drawings and Prototype Building and applying knowledge on medical devices/products.
- Prepare 2D drawings per ASME Standards with sound knowledge on GD&T.
- Create 3D CAD Models using Creo either from scratch or edit complex models.
- Understand design problems and propose optimal workable solutions.
- Communicate with cross-functional team members and collaborate to achieve project goals.
- Support the Product Development Team with application of design engineering to new product design.
- Use Windchill PDM link to manage CAD Data.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3 to 6 years of relavent experience.
- Hands on CAD systems such as Creo – expert level (Drafting & Modelling) as well as data management systems such as Windchill , Creo Simuation and Creo Mechanism.
- Very good verbal communications to interact with global partners .
- Knowledge in Concept Development, Prototyping and Benchmark Testing
- Well verse with GD&T and good knowledge in tolerance stacks.
- Must be able to prepare 2D drawings per ASME Standards with sound knowledge on GD&T
- Should create 3D CAD Models using Creo either from scratch or able to edit the complex models
- Should be able to understand design problems and bring up optimal workable solution
- Ability to support the Product Development Team with application of design engineering to new product design.
- Should be able to use windchill PDM link to manage CAD Data flawlessly
- Medical Device Experience (Nice to Have)
- Master Degree (Nice to Have)
- GD&T Certification (Nice to Have)
- Cetol (Nice to Have)
- ANSYS or any equivalent Prediction Software (Nice to Have)
- Requires a Baccalaureate degree and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (Required Knowledge and Experience)
