About the role
- Lead an Electronics Distribution Procurement team in the sourcing and acquisition of materials and manage supplier performance
- Manage the entire purchase order life cycle for DoD, FMS, and DCS customers including solicitations, Purchase Order award, post-award management, and closeout activities
- Manage several supplier relationships necessary to support numerous programs across all Strategic Business Units for factory material needs
- Lead a high-performing procurement team of Buyers in preparation and issuance of RFPs and placing purchase orders of low/medium complexity and medium/high volume transactions
- Manage a supporting team of Commodity Performance Leads responsible for supplier performance, relationship, and health
- Build relationships, resolve conflicts, mitigate risks, avoid disputes, and ensure smooth procurement operations including regulatory compliance
- Work closely with Program and functional groups (Operations, Quality, Engineering, Program Management) to achieve customer objectives
- Effectively manage metrics and analyze data to ensure purchase requisition and purchase order accuracy and timely supplier delivery information
- Ensure strict adherence to compliance regulations
- Work independently with minimal oversight and provide timely updates on critical business issues
Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience
- An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience (alternate qualification)
- Relevant experience in procurement, supply chain management, management, finance, or similar leadership role
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required
- Security Clearance: None/Not Required
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS) (preferred)
