About the role
- Execute processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement goals, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and/or program execution
- Responsible for purchase orders and flow of orders
- Communicate with cross-functional disciplines
- Approve and qualify vendors to fulfill account needs
- Respond to client issues or problems
- Authorize purchase orders and approve payments to ensure procurement process goes smoothly
- Analyze and review price proposals, financial reports, and other data to provide input on reasonable prices
- Prepare and review requests for proposals (RFP) and bid packages
- Analyze and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations
- Prepare Compliance packages in support of military contracts
Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience or in absence of a degree, 10 years of relevant experience
- 3 or more years of experience in a purchasing manufacturing environment
- This job requires a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, refugee/asylee)
- Security Clearance: None/Not Required
- Experience in Government procurement (preferred)
- SAP experience (preferred)
- Ability to analyze Cost and Pricing data and determine proposal compliance (FAR 15.4) (preferred)
- Demonstrated knowledge / compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS) (preferred)
- Ability to multi-task and perform effectively in a dynamic, fast paced, changing environment
