About the role
- Executes processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement goals, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and/or program execution.
- Responsible for P.O and flow of orders
- Communicates with cross-functional disciplines.
- Approves and qualifies vendors to fulfill account needs.
- Responds to client issues or problems.
- Authorizes purchase orders and approves payments to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly.
- Analyzes and reviews price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices.
- Prepares and reviews request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
- Analyzes and monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Preparing Compliance packages in support military contacts.
Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience
- 3 or more years of experience in a purchasing manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Government procurement
- SAP experience
- Ability to analyze Cost and Pricing data and determine proposal compliance (FAR 15.4)
- Demonstrated knowledge / compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS)
- Ability to multi-task and perform effectively in a dynamic, fast paced, changing environment.
