About the role

  • Report to the Director of Contracts and provide all contract management activities for a diverse contract portfolio
  • Provide oversight, evaluation and monitoring of contracts
  • Serve as a trusted advisor during negotiations and resolve complex contractual/stakeholder and performance issues
  • Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies, ensuring compliance with federal policies
  • Serve as single point of contact for the Government Contracting Officer and COR
  • Oversee contract performance and ensure compliance with PWS requirements
  • Coordinate with client representatives on contract status and issues
  • Review contractors' time schedules and leave schedules while ensuring mission accomplishment
  • Assist in the review and analysis of Request for Proposals (RFPs) to identify and mitigate contract risks
  • Review and negotiate Teaming Agreements, Nondisclosure Agreements, Consulting Service Agreements, Subcontract Agreements, Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work and OCI Mitigation Plans

Requirements

  • BA degree with 5 or more years of relevant experience
  • Experience with GSA, DCAA, FAR and DFARS
  • Experience developing bid rates and pricing models
  • In depth knowledge of all contract types (e.g., T&M, FFP, IDIQ and Cost Plus)
  • Proven ability to solicit and process complex information and data to solve complex problems and make sound decisions
  • Strong interpersonal skills with measured and articulate communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers
  • History of building a team environment, fostering communication, listening to staff concerns, and reconciling internal issues
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently; consummate team player
  • Experience with Teaming Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements and other legal instruments
  • Strong background in federal contracting regulations
  • Preferred: U.S. Citizenship
  • Preferred: Working knowledge with the Veteran's Affairs, Department of Defense and other federal agencies is a plus
