About the role
- Lead the sourcing and acquisition of materials and services for complex test equipment
- Review drawings, specifications, and purchase history to determine sourcing strategy
- Work with and review Statement of Work (SOW) documents
- Preparation and issuance of request for quotations/proposals (RFQs/RFPs)
- Perform price and cost analysis
- Develop strategies in support of and lead formal negotiations on price, delivery, scope, and terms & conditions
- Work closely with program customers and other functional groups (operations, quality, engineering, etc) to achieve objectives
- Place purchase orders of medium to high complexity in accordance with all regulatory (FAR/DFAR), corporate policy, and internal procedures
- Maintain purchase orders to ensure accurate and timely supplier delivery information
- Manage performance to meet key metrics
- Serve as the escalation path for consumers or stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Relevant experience in procurement, supply chain management, management, finance, or similar leadership role
- Experience in a SAP based environment
- Experience with technical requirements of procured hardware and services – including statement of work (SOW) review
- Experience in leading formal negotiations (price, schedule, and supplier exceptions to contractual flow-down requirements, as well as standard terms and conditions)
- Demonstrated knowledge / compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS)
- Price Cost Analysis experience
- Ability to multi-task and perform effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, changing environment
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal internal customers
- U.S. citizenship is required
