Act as the business delegate for all Design Assurance matters pertaining to Design Organizations Approvals (DOA) Independent Monitoring
Establish, maintain, and update the business Design Organization Interface Document (DOID) and continuously monitor associated responsibilities
Serve as the focal point and advisor for Design Assurance activities and deploy DOA training for stakeholders and authorized signatories
Lead management of surveillance plans and coordinate design assurance activities across multiple customer projects
Ensure adherence and proper application of customer procedural rules/documents or Collins procedures equivalent within the DOA compliance table
Facilitate assessments and monitoring (audits, sample checks, reviews) by customers and Aviation Authorities in Collins Aerospace LS and its design suppliers
Coordinate with customer DOA Supplier Control Managers and contribute to improving interfacing matters between customer and Collins production organizations
Generate and communicate technical presentations and reviews to key program stakeholders and customers
Measure and drive success of initiatives, track/mitigate/resolve issues, risks, and blockers, and keep management informed
Provide mentorship and training to junior team members and support ad-hoc data-related tasks
Requirements
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written)
U.S. citizenship is required (only U.S. citizens authorized to access information under this program/contract)
Must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment; relocation is not offered
Security Clearance: None/Not Required
Experience/knowledge in SAP, TEAMCENTER, PLM, Configuration Management/Data Management, SharePoint (preferred)
Experience writing Standard Job Instructions and/or Work Procedures (preferred)
Expertise in industry best practices for continuous process improvement (preferred)
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications (preferred)
Experience with engineering change and manufacturing processes (preferred)
General knowledge of Project Management (preferred)
Technical writing experience (preferred)
Experience in the Aerospace industry (preferred)
Experience creating and delivering formal presentations to all levels of leadership (preferred)
Strong leadership, team management, stakeholder engagement skills, and commitment to continuous learning
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
