About the role
- Lead Raytheon's company-wide customs compliance program, reporting to the Associate Director of Global Trade Customs
- Direct global customs operations and governance, ensuring compliance across the U.S., Canada, EU, UK, Middle East, and APAC
- Translate complex customs requirements into clear actionable guidance for Program Management, Supply Chain, Global Trade Licensing, Contracts, Logistics, and Finance stakeholders
- Provide leadership and Subject Matter Expertise in Duty Mitigation Programs, Tariff Classification, Customs Valuation, Customs Broker Management, and Country of Origin determinations
- Integrate Customs Policy Requirements into Supply Chain, Program Management, Finance, Contracts, and Logistics business operations
- Represent the company with senior leaders, regulators, and in global customs committees
- Develop and deliver global customs metrics that assess program health and implement procedures, controls, and training to mitigate identified risks
- Oversee customs audits, broker management, and implementation of customs-related technology solutions (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP GTS) and systems integration projects
Requirements

- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years' experience
- Minimum 10 years prior relevant experience (or 7 years with advanced degree)
- Customs experience in the manufacturing industry
- Experience in CFR19 U.S. Customs Regulations and 15 CFR Part 30 Foreign Trade Regulations
- Experience in any of these areas: HS Classification, Free Trade Agreement qualification, Customs Valuation, Country of Origin Determination, Incoterms® 2020
- Experience leading customs audits and enhancing internal controls, metrics, and/or reporting systems
- Conducted RFP processes to interview, evaluate, and select customs brokers; implemented broker contracts; established performance metrics and reporting for broker evaluations
- Have led trade compliance teams and/or cross-functional projects
- Required to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories)
