About the role
- Help patients check into the hospital and intake registration information
- Work on computers and answer phones to collect patient and insurance details
- Work across multiple screens and programs, typing information accurately and quickly
- Input details between physician and nurse check-ins and handle clinician interruptions for emergent care
- Listen with compassion, ask follow-up questions, and build rapport to ease patient anxiety
- Assist patients in completing registration in a fast-paced, often on-your-feet environment
- Collaborate with team members and participate in training to launch a healthcare career
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent customer service experience
- You don’t need to have any previous experience or knowledge in healthcare
- Must be up to date on all vaccinations
- Must pass a drug test prior to hire
- Must pass a background check prior to hire
- Confident multi-tasker who is a quick study with technology and can type and answer phones
- Be prepared to see illness and injuries (hospital/lab environment)
- Variety of shifts available
