About the role
- Source new sales opportunities through brokers, producers, and prospects to develop and manage a pipeline of PFML opportunities
- Make a minimum of 30 new outreaches daily via telephone, email, and virtual meetings
- Conduct virtual webinars for brokers and company sponsored as needed
- Build and maintain relationships with employee benefit and P&C producers, guiding them through our product offerings and sales process
- Achieve personal and team goals by securing new sales opportunities and positioning company offerings within defined profitability guidelines
- Review and qualify RFPs, ensuring all necessary information is gathered for timely and accurate quoting
- Coordinate with a Sales Support Specialist to ensure smooth proposal delivery, follow-ups, and broker communication
- Follow up on all issued quotes
- Collaborate closely with Underwriting, providing all necessary data and context to ensure the most accurate and competitive rates are offered
- Collaborate with External team counterparts in given territories as needed
- Ensure flawless new business submissions sent to underwriting for expedited approvals
- Educate broker partners on PFML legislation, product features, and market positioning to increase product adoption
- Leverage data and market intelligence tools to improve broker prospecting, profiling, and planning activities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce), including pipeline activity, call logs, broker notes, and opportunity status
- Monitor state-specific PFML regulatory updates to ensure accurate product positioning and compliance
Requirements
- Strong phone presence and experience in dialing dozens of calls per day
- Excellent understanding of insurance products and market
- Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong listening and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
- Highly motivated and ability to effectively communicate with brokers and employers
- Understand business challenges
- Goal-oriented
- Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years insurance sales experience (employee benefits preferred)
- Life and Health License required
