Supervise, manage, hire, coach, develop, and performance-manage an Area Team of 9-12 Neuroscience Health & Science Professionals (NHSP)
Ensure full compliance of selling activities and legal/regulatory requirements for self and team
Plan, organize, and monitor Area Team performance to achieve business potential and manage district-level budgets
Develop and implement strategic plans and business plans for the Area Team; collaborate with Marketing on strategies and Op Plan
Conduct regular coaching, observation, and development of NHSPs; apply situational leadership and multiple coaching methods
Build relationships with customers (including KOLs) and key stakeholders; engage customers in clinical conversations
Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues (marketing, channel partners) to address customer needs and connect colleagues
Utilize digital and virtual tools/platforms for customer engagement and team management
Proactively analyze data to identify market trends and measure implementation of field plans
Responsible for hiring decisions, representative development, performance management, and establishing team goals
Report to the Regional Business Director and partner with Area Management Teams and cross-functional partners
Requirements
BA/BS required
6+ years of experience
Previous pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales experience
At least 3-5 years in a position with demonstrated leadership across Peer and Customer Groups
Ability to develop and motivate others, lead through change, and deliver on business imperatives
Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to analyze sales data/call reporting software/applications
Ability to travel, including overnight travel
Valid US driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards; any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify
Permanent work authorization in the United States (position requires)
Demonstrated breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities (influence, collaboration, coaching, oversight)
Experience working with key thought leaders or high influence customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations preferred
Cross-functional collaboration mindset
Additional digital, Legal and Compliance training for leadership by example (incl. contracting permissions/guidelines) preferred
Enhanced competency with virtual and digital tools/platforms for customer engagement and team management
Data-driven resource management and strategic execution skills
Product launch and Specialty Sales experience preferred
Nice-to-have: MBA/MS with 5+ years OR PhD or JD with 1+ years
Nice-to-have: 3-5 years of people management experience
