About the role

  • Oversee the health and compliance of the strategic partnership between NSTXL and the Space Enterprise Consortium (SpEC)
  • Develop deep relationships with program officers and project owners using the SpEC OTA
  • Oversee required reporting and statement of work requirements and ensure project health
  • Conduct internal and external program briefings
  • Confirm prototype and project eligibility with SpEC VP, Business Development, and Space Systems Command
  • Plan and execute all aspects of the program and its execution
  • Coordinate with internal departments to deliver on customer health, retention, and revenue targets
  • Assess programs vs NSTXL financial objectives; implement actions to enhance performance and expedite fund allocation
  • Evaluate technical progress against spend rates, cost shares, commitments vs funded backlog
  • Identify funding delays, develop risk mitigation plans, and maintain continuous communication with customers/partners and NSTXL leadership
  • Mentor and support the SpEC team; foster a culture of excellence and collaboration
  • Establish and maintain relationships with client senior management and industry leaders; negotiate and resolve issues diplomatically
  • Represent the SpEC vehicle at tradeshows and member events; support membership growth and retention
  • Support and oversee the SpEC MLC, schedule quarterly meetings and track action items
  • Approve and implement solutions to customer feedback issues
  • Lead customer onboarding and pre-award project management; facilitate project awards, kick-offs, and debriefs
  • Monitor projects to ensure objectives are met and ensure complete transfer of technology
  • Travel up to 30% and conduct monthly in-person status meetings with key stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years of proven experience in program management and leadership within the defense or technology sectors
  • Experience in the DOD procurement process, with demonstrated expertise in working with command, programs, and acquisition teams
  • Demonstrable leadership and customer management experience and skills
  • Strong track record of exceeding financial goals and KPIs
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical capability
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
  • Reside in one of the following: AL, CA or DC
  • Nice to Have: Master's Degree
