• Working hours Monday – Friday 9:00am – 6:00pm Eastern; Full-time position with rotating on call schedule; 100% onsite at client sites in Boston, MA; Act as hotel IT engineer for applications, systems, infrastructure; Represent NexusTek at assigned hotel(s) delivering customer service; Meet with hotel management to discuss issues, projects, budgetary items; Be part of Hotel Management team; Consult with customers on technical support issues and specification of software/equipment; Make independent decisions and recommendations; Create VLANs, port assignments, wireless network design; Manage and troubleshoot Internet service; Perform switching, firewall, wireless configuration and troubleshooting; Install/configure/troubleshoot routers, firewalls, wireless, servers, virtualization, storage, domain controllers, file/print/app/remote access servers; Manage Microsoft 365 and Entra and local Active Directory; Troubleshoot hotel-specific systems and manage PMS interfaces and DB administration; Create/manage technical site documentation; Provide server/file restoration from backups; Work with hotel engineering staff for UPS/generator testing; Lift/cable/run wires and load equipment

• Working Hours Monday to Friday: 9:30 am to 6:00 PM Pacific; Participate in 24/7 call rotation after hours or weekends; Provide client support via telephone and e-mail including returning calls, emails, inquiries; Address system alerts generated by NexusTek's monitoring systems; Maintain administrative competencies of NOC tools and products including backup, disaster recovery, AV, spam, patching solutions, DNS, SSL-Certs, DRaaS, FWaaS, onboarding, and offboarding; Perform root cause analysis to completion and resolution; Maintain comprehensive notes in ConnectWise and update cases until resolved; Identify alerts that can be tuned; Identify and propose new ideas for improving department effectiveness; Own and manage escalated support cases; Perform automation and scripting; Troubleshoot technologies including Backup and disaster recovery, AV, Spam, Patching, DNS, SSL-Certs, DRaaS, FWaaS, Windows Server, Office 365, Multisite/stretched datacenter environments; Use MSP applications like ConnectWise, N-Able, and IT Glue; May require certifications such as CompTIA Network+ and/or Security+, Microsoft Entry Level Certification: Windows Server or Azure.
