About the role
- Provide direct client support (remote and/or on-site) as an entry level end user support technician
- Evaluate hardware and software requests and provide solutions based on business requirements and corporate standards
- Configure new hardware, install and troubleshoot software (including patches), and address virus alerts
- Restore service, provide user training, and support special events (on-site)
- Install, support, and retire hardware (desktops, laptops, thin clients, monitors, mobile devices, printers) and wipe data prior to destruction or reissue
- Coordinate warranty repairs through third-party vendors as appropriate
- Document, maintain, and recommend enhancements to work processes and troubleshooting procedures
- Perform facility moves under guidance and ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations
- Troubleshoot user problems requiring understanding of end user environment and inter-related technologies
- Operate effectively as part of a larger team, receive general direction, and escalate issues appropriately
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in a technical support role ("hands on" internship experience may be considered)
- Working knowledge of standard end user hardware and software
- Basic understanding of network connectivity and infrastructure
- Familiarity or growing understanding of NPF-specific applications and technologies
- General understanding of basic business processes and ability to prioritize critical user areas or applications
- Ability to troubleshoot standard end user problems and follow established procedures
- Strong client-service orientation; ability to manage client anxiety and stress
- Professional, courteous, and tactful communication skills
- Ability to install and use smartphone security apps (Okta Verify, Microsoft Authenticator) meeting Company security standards
- Ability to coordinate warranty repairs through third-party vendors as appropriate
