Provide support in all Human Resources functional areas, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits, HRIS, onboarding, training, and special projects.
Partner with leaders to develop and execute effective recruitment strategies, including creating and posting career opportunities, screening resumes, scheduling and conducting interviews, reference checks, preparing job offers for both union and non-unionized positions.
Maintain and update human resource information and benefit systems with employee data.
Coordinate and participate in the administration and compliance of various Human Resources and Collective Bargaining Agreement related programs.
Participate in grievance preparation and investigations.
Provide guidance on performance management to leadership in the areas of employee relations, progressive discipline, and conflict resolution.
Review and coordinate retirement process.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of HRIS systems and practices.
Ensure compliance with current employment laws and regulations.
Requirements
Certificate or diploma in Human Resources Management or an equivalent of training and experience would be considered.
Three to five years’ experience in a Human Resources role
Advanced knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office
Advanced problem solving and analytical skills are essential.
Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers and work well within a team environment.
Ability to converse in a professional manner and collaborate with all levels of the organization.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with minimum supervision and possess initiative to seek improvements.
