About the role
- Lead the Tutor Growth and Incentive engineering team to support tutor retention and engagement initiatives
- Drive the right tutor behaviors and best-in-class face-to-face tutoring experience
- Be responsible for the operation and innovation of the technology platform helping thousands of students
- Provide direction and oversight on technical architectures and systems design
- Support engineering staff by championing objectives, monitoring progress, and removing blockers
- Continually monitor, improve, and optimize team performance and the systems they create
- Inspire, mentor, and advocate for engineers to help them reach their full potential
Requirements
- 5+ years of successful leadership experience
- At-scale technical architecture experience: designed and built complex yet performant systems
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern development tools
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Proven ability to manage teams and projects effectively
- Experienced with AI-native tools that enhance productivity and speed (Cursor, Make.com, Supabase, Netlify, Claude Code, n8n, Firecrawl, ChatGPT, Grok, Bolt, Vercel, etc)
- A strong desire to learn and a passion for educational technology
