About the role
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers of a leading music streaming service
- Respond to customer inquiries via inbound messages in Japanese and English
- Troubleshoot technical issues and help customers navigate the platform
- Ensure customers have the best possible listening experience
- Complete required orientation and adhere to production scheduling and weekly hour commitments
- Collaborate with ModSquad and the client to escalate and resolve complex issues
Requirements
- Fluent in Japanese and English with professional-level communication skills in both
- Must complete language assessments in Japanese and English
- Experience providing support through inbound messaging
- Experience handling 3-5 simultaneous chats in previous roles
- Orientation Hours (Pacific Time): 40 hours per week required for the 8-week orientation period
- Orientation phase 1: 4 weeks, 4 AM - 1 PM PT; phase 2: 4 weeks, self-scheduled between 12 PM - 3 AM PT
- Available Production Hours (Pacific Time): Daily, 12 PM - 3 AM PT
- Project commitments: 25 hours per week; 12 hours required on Saturday and/or Sunday; 180 days (as needed)
- Workspace: dedicated laptop or desktop running Windows 10 or newer (Chromebook not sufficient)
- Willingness to install ModSquad security software and a 2FA app on mobile device
- Access to a webcam or smartphone capable of capturing clear photos
- Stable broadband internet connection minimum 25 Mbps
- At least 8 GB of RAM; dual monitors strongly recommended
