About the role

  • Promote and sell Medtronic's products and services within an assigned geographic area and/or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Develop, build, and strengthen long-term relationships with stakeholders including distributors and healthcare professionals
  • Pursue leads, assess customer needs, and provide product services to maximize benefits derived from Medtronic's products and/or services
  • Promote and establish education of the company's products and/or services
  • Conduct market research including customers' and competitors' activities
  • Implement market development plans/strategies and adjust as needed
  • Communicate customer feedback on new products or modifications to internal stakeholders (R&D, Operations, Marketing)
  • Work with sales, marketing and finance to structure contracts and achieve sales results
  • May direct or guide entry-level sales professionals and support employees
  • Going into healthcare settings is an essential function; support and credentialing at hospitals/clinics expected.

Requirements

  • Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A))
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Practical knowledge of sales techniques and job area
  • Working knowledge of company products and services
  • Developing professional expertise; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
  • Ability to build and strengthen long-term relationships with distributors and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to pursue leads, assess needs, and provide product services to maximize benefits
  • For sales reps and other patient facing field employees: comply with credentialing requirements at hospitals or clinics they support
  • Employer participates in the federal E-Verify program to confirm identity and employment authorization of newly hired employees.
