About the role
- Drive adoption of new vascular therapies, growing sales and market share for assigned territory
- Train, educate, sell, and in-service new Vascular products to medical staff and clinicians
- Aggressively develop new accounts and convert target accounts to increase market share
- Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and key decision makers
- Develop and execute accurate and ongoing sales and market development plans to achieve AOP and sales objectives
- Work closely with Vascular Field team and internal functions (marketing, customer service, finance) to execute strategies
- Plan and implement effective sales/product presentations and effectively build consensus to close business
- Effectively plan cases with physicians, manage expectations and support cases in live settings
- Manage expenses, adhere to financial, regulatory, quality compliance standards and FDA requirements
- Communicate market intelligence/competitor activity and potential sales leads to District Sales Manager
- Participate in product and skills development programs and maintain comprehensive technical/clinical knowledge
- Ensure customer service by responding to requests, resolving complaints, and educating customers on product use
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 7+ years B2B or Healthcare Sales experience
- 4+ years experience selling Medical device or medical capital equipment
- Valid driver's license and required to reside within territory
- 5+ years selling to Interventional cardiology and/or radiology, hospital/Cath Lab setting, Vascular surgery or EO (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to proactively seek and secure new business opportunities
- Experience in a highly customer focused, competitive selling environment (medical sales preferred)
- Full understanding and experience with the sales process, particularly in a hospital setting
- Ability to quickly learn product knowledge and apply it in a live, case setting
- Knowledge & experience in operating room, hospital & physician office protocol/conduct
- Ability to teach & educate medical personnel, peers & technical support personnel
- Experience with iPad and SalesForces.com; PC literate
- Expertise with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Thorough working knowledge of medical terminology, medical procedures and the medical device industry
- Maintain strong ongoing knowledge of the reimbursement landscape
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
- Business planning skills and ability to coordinate/participate in numerous tasks/projects
- Presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently & drive results
- Excellent influencing, consulting, interpersonal and written communication skills
- Ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Top 10% past performance; President’s Club winner (preferred)
