About the role

  • Drive adoption of new Vascular therapies and grow sales/market share for assigned territory
  • Train, educate, sell, and in-service new Vascular products (PVH carotid, thrombectomy and future products)
  • Aggressively develop new accounts and convert target accounts to increase market share
  • Develop and execute accurate, ongoing sales and market development plans to achieve sales objectives
  • Consistently meet and exceed AOP, sales budget, and account development targets (QoQ and YoY)
  • Work closely with Vascular Field team to identify opportunities and execute sales strategies
  • Plan and implement effective sales/product presentations to customers and KOLs
  • Effectively manage expenses and adhere to financial, regulatory, quality compliance standards
  • Educate customers, plan cases with physicians, manage expectations and support procedural cases
  • Communicate market intelligence/competitor activity to District Sales Manager and internal teams
  • Collaborate with internal functions (marketing, customer service, finance) to meet targets
  • Maintain comprehensive technical/clinical product knowledge and remain current on reimbursement landscape
  • Participate in product and skills development programs and manage own self-development

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10 years B2B or Healthcare Sales experience
  • 5 years experience selling Medical device or medical capital equipment
  • Valid driver's license
  • 5+ years selling to Interventional cardiology and/or radiology, hospital/Cath Lab setting, Vascular surgery or EO (preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively seek and secure new business opportunities
  • Experience in a highly customer focused, competitive selling environment (medical sales preferred)
  • Full understanding and experience with the sales process, particularly in a hospital setting
  • Ability to quickly learn product knowledge and apply it in a live, case setting
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders, including KOLs
  • Business planning skills and territory management (organization, planning, administration, expense control)
  • Presentation and training skills to educate medical staff and physicians
  • Knowledge & experience in operating room, hospital & physician office protocol/conduct
  • Demonstrated ability to teach & educate medical personnel, peers & technical support personnel
  • High learning agility and ability to adapt to new technologies and market conditions
  • Familiarity with technology and applications (iPad, SalesForces.com); PC literate
  • Expertise with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent influencing, consulting, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Thorough working knowledge of medical terminology, medical procedures and the medical device industry
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong work ethic
  • Ability to comply with hospital credentialing requirements (for patient-facing field employees)
