About the role

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales quotas by driving incremental product adoption across assigned territory
  • Expand utilization of GI products through market development and sales-oriented activities
  • Educate physicians and clinical personnel on use of GI products and provide clinical product demonstrations and education in accounts
  • Serve as a customer-facing product expert for the GI product portfolio and develop clinical knowledge
  • Routinely see all customers within the assigned geographic area and establish excellent relationships with healthcare professionals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional counterparts and extended sales force; communicate and share best practices
  • Develop understanding of reimbursement environment and communicate it for all products
  • Update sales action plans and forecasts routinely; provide solution-oriented strategies to facilitate product adoption
  • Successfully launch new devices in the assigned territory and create Centers of Excellence and Key Opinion Leader development
  • Maintain administrative responsibilities in Salesforce.com, complete expense reports, sales reports, and online trainings within timelines
  • Demonstrate Medtronic code of conduct adherence and fiscal responsibility by ensuring travel expenses within assigned budgets

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years of field sales experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region
  • Medical Device sales experience (Nice to Have)
  • Capital sales experience (Nice to Have)
  • GI experience (Nice to Have)
  • Established business planning and forecasting experience
  • Demonstrated formal sales skills training, preferably from a Fortune 500 company
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas
  • Good computer skills with specific skills in Microsoft Office: Power point, Excel, and Word
  • Experience selling to physicians in a procedural setting
  • Degree with emphasis in Life Sciences, Medicine, or related, technical field (Nice to Have)
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with all functional partners
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Expectation to comply with hospital credentialing requirements for patient-facing field employees
