About the role

  • Field-based Medtronic Endoscopy sales position calling on healthcare organizations (primarily hospitals) in a defined geographic area
  • Serve as a customer-facing product expert educating physicians and nurses on the clinical advantages of the GI product portfolio
  • Expand utilization of GI products through market development and sales-oriented activities
  • Continually develop clinical knowledge and convey information to support optimal utilization of the product portfolio
  • Required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts; 50-75% travel including outside the territory
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales quotas by driving incremental product adoption
  • Thoroughly understand product line features, benefits and proof sources and communicate reimbursement environment for all products
  • Routinely see all customers, establish relationships with healthcare professionals, and provide clinical product demonstrations and education
  • Collaborate with cross-functional counterparts and share best practices
  • Develop sales action plans, forecasts, and provide solution-oriented strategies to facilitate product adoption and accelerate sales growth
  • Successfully launch new devices in the assigned territory and create Centers of Excellence and Key Opinion Leader development
  • Maintain administrative responsibilities in Salesforce.com, expense reports, sales reports, and complete online trainings
  • Demonstrate disease-state expertise and the ability to interpret and articulate clinical and journal articles
  • Adhere to Medtronic code of conduct and hospital credentialing requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of field sales experience
  • Required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region
  • Valid driver's license
  • 50-75% travel including outside the territory
  • Medical device/equipment sales experience (Nice to Have)
  • Experience selling to physicians in a procedural setting
  • Established business planning and forecasting experience
  • Demonstrated formal sales skills training, preferably from a Fortune 500 company
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas
  • Good computer skills with specific skills in Microsoft Office: Power point, Excel, and Word
  • Degree with emphasis in Life Sciences, Medicine, or related, technical field (Nice to Have)
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with all functional partners
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Compliance with hospital credentialing requirements for patient-facing field employees
  • Willingness to perform administrative tasks in Salesforce.com and complete online trainings on schedule
