Develop and/or implement global operating plans to support product and program launches and achieve sales results
Work closely with field sales organization to increase adoption of Medtronic products through strategic field activities, customer education, training and product messaging
Develop and drive product and service strategies, operational excellence, and economic value to grow revenue and market share
Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional departments to ensure sales targets are met and initiatives implemented
Plan, structure projects, manage team priorities, and establish sales operating processes
Manage a large sales team (including managers/supervisors), oversee performance, talent development, and authorize hiring/promotions
Drive transformational change, develop new policies, processes and standards in support of sales strategy
Communicate with internal and external customers and vendors regarding operations, programs and processes
Ensure compliance with hospital/clinic credentialing for patient-facing activities
Requirements
Baccalaureate degree required or advanced degree accepted
Minimum of 7 years of relevant sales experience with a Baccalaureate degree
Minimum of 5 years of relevant sales and leadership experience with an advanced degree
Broad sales, business development and management knowledge
Mastery-level knowledge and skills within the sales discipline
Experience leading and managing large teams, including managers and supervisors
People management: hiring, firing, promotion, performance and talent development
Cross-functional collaboration with Clinic Operations, Quality, Legal, Finance, Marketing, IT and Project Management
Experience developing and executing strategic field activities, customer education, training and product messaging
Experience structuring projects, planning programs, and developing policies and procedures
Ability to drive transformational change and develop new sales operating policies
For patient-facing field roles: ability to comply with hospital/clinic credentialing requirements
Must be able to complete employment eligibility verification (employer participates in E-Verify)
