Support education and training of Medtronic Diabetes products to Health Care Professionals and patients
Serve as the face of the company and act as a field clinical diabetes expert
Report to the Clinical District Manager aligned to the district
Field-based role supporting Indianapolis, Fishers, Anderson, Carmel, Kokomo and surrounding areas
Expectation to be in the field 4 days/week and remote 1 day/week
Educate patients, physicians, nurses, educators, and other HCPs on intensive diabetes management using Medtronic products
Serve in a role that indirectly supports sales activities and collaborate with sales counterpart on territory growth strategy
Troubleshoot clinical and technical issues regarding Medtronic products and therapy
Assist HCPs in assessing and managing patients’ Medtronic therapy to help ensure positive outcomes
Plan, organize, and manage assignments within allotted budget
Travel regularly within assigned territory and attend events as directed (may require overnight travel)
Participate in ongoing competency development via in-person and web-based training
Participate in conventions, forums, and and meetings to increase product awareness
Identify and facilitate execution on growth opportunities with Diabetes Sales and Clinical Support Team
Serve as a technical resource to support sales of specific medical Diabetes products and/or solutions
Requirements
A valid registered license in one or more of the following fields: Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Dietitian (RD), Physician Assistant (PA), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Pharmacist
AND Associate’s Degree and 4 years of clinical experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of clinical experience (minimum requirements)
Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) or Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) preferred
Prior sales experience (nice to have)
Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy
Driving record will be reviewed as part of the application
Must be able to drive approximately 75% of the time within assigned territory and may require overnight travel
Must be able to attend seminars, symposiums and special events as directed
Compliance with hospital/clinic credentialing requirements for patient-facing field employees
