About the role
- Provide finance leadership and analytical support to drive growth, efficiencies, and financial performance of Tail Account and Channel Innovation sales team
- Support Tail commercial segment in driving revenue growth, designing quotas, analyzing performance, tracking KPIs, managing expenses, forecasting, and building/managing progress vs business cases
- Be the primary business partner for the VP U.S. Tail Accounts and Channel
- Work closely with commercial and finance stakeholders on financial planning and analysis, enterprise segment expansion initiatives, operating budgets, and strategic planning
- Deliver actionable insights to business partners and customers; contribute to projects outlined in annual objectives
- Drive growth: advise leadership, develop mastery of the business, partner with Data and Analytics, lead AOP, forecasting and strategic plan processes
- Financial management and reporting: lead monthly business reviews of P&L with variance analysis, forecast and risks/opportunities, provide guidance, ensure forecast accuracy, manage Sales Incentive Plan submissions, perform financial modeling and market research, manage account alignments
- Engage in special projects and ad hoc tasks as required
Requirements
- Broad finance background that includes: financial planning and analysis, commercial/sales finance support, budgeting, financial modeling and sound business acumen
- Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance required
- Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience (or advance degree with a minimum of 8+ years)
- MBA preferred
- CPA, CMA, and/or MBA (nice to have)
- Strong analytical, financial modeling and problem-solving skills
- Experience in a commercial finance role
- Extensive knowledge of SAP, GSR, Tableau, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Positive attitude with a high degree of initiative and accountability
- Excellent written/oral communication, presentation and influence skills
- Reliable work ethic and flexibility during peak times
