About the role
- Lead one of the highest impact portfolios in Cardiac Surgery with global reach (Penditure™ Left Atrial Appendage Exclusion System)
- Drive strategies to accelerate growth and gain share for the Penditure™ franchise
- Craft compelling product positioning and integrated annual marketing plans
- Develop high-impact technical and marketing resources to equip the global sales force
- Provide timely insights from the field and stay ahead of evolving clinical literature and competitive activities
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Penditure™ and represent the therapy at conventions and conferences
- Interface with demand planning and supply chain to ensure accurate global forecasts and reliable product availability
- Track and respond to competitive moves in the LAA exclusion space
- Build and nurture trusted partnerships with leading global KOLs and emerging thought leaders
- Capture insights from customers and the field to inform strategic marketing programs and product planning
- Collaborate with R&D to guide product enhancements and long-term innovation
- Lead the global commercial launch team and orchestrate execution for in-flight global product launches
- Shape and execute data-driven launch plans including market research, positioning, promotions, and integrated communications
- Align Clinical, R&D, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Sales Enablement, Training & Education, and regional partners for synchronized global rollout
- Partner with Training & Education and Sales Enablement to prepare field teams with skills, tools, and confidence to succeed
- Monitor competitive responses and proactively adjust strategies to maintain market leadership
- Represent the launch at the highest levels with executive leadership, showcasing communication, planning, and results delivery
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of progressive experience in marketing, sales, or technical roles (minimum 5 -8 years with an advanced degree)
- Proven product management or project management expertise with demonstrated ability to lead initiatives from strategy through execution
- Track record of launch excellence in the medical device arena
- Sales orientation or experience collaborating with high-performing sales organizations
- Medical device marketing experience, ideally within cardiac surgery
- Proven product launch success, from strategy through execution, with measurable business impact
- MBA or advanced degree in business, marketing, or related field (preferred)
- Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to understand complex therapies and translate them into compelling value propositions
- Global marketing perspective, demonstrated through developing and executing strategic plans across geographies
- Ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams (Clinical, R&D, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Sales Enablement, Training & Education, regional partners)
- Up to 30% travel
- Minimum of 4 days a week onsite (in-person exchanges are invaluable)
