Provide expert strategic and capital advisory consulting services related to growth, volatility and capital structure to (re)insurers
Drive APAC strategic development and deal origination efforts related to assessing and executing corporate transactions (e.g. M&A, strategic investments/ divestments, partnerships, JV)
Develop thought leadership with an emphasis on marketing capital advisory capabilities – with a focus on capital structure, including ideation and origination of new opportunities related to M&A and capital-raising transactions and structures depending on client needs
Present strategic considerations and financial impact analysis across various transaction structures to a senior audience of insurance and reinsurance clients
Collaborate with colleagues across GC Securities (New York and London), APAC Structured Solutions and client management teams across the region
Conduct research on market trends, industry insights and competitive landscape, analyzing the impact on the business
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field
A minimum of 5 to 10 years of robust experience in strategic consulting and/ or investment banking
Experience in investment banking, M&A and/or equities research is highly valued
Actuarial consulting experience with a focus on M&A and valuations will also be considered
Excellent numerical, financial analysis and financial modelling skills, including M&A modelling related to insurance and the insurance value chain
Ability to interpret, organise and clearly communicate complex financial information
Demonstrated hands-on experience working within the Asian market
Commercially astute with a strong business acumen; self-motivated with excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Client-focused mindset with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service and value to clients
Proven ability to operate effectively in multicultural environments, exhibiting strong gravitas and presence to influence and foster collaborative relationships with stakeholders
Excellent command of English; proficiency in additional Asian languages is advantageous
