About the role
- Provide leadership and oversight to business operations in US and Canada to assure adherence to internal company and external regulatory compliance
- Ensure appropriate mechanisms are in place to comply with relevant laws and regulations and adherence to corporate programs and practices
- Oversee the USCAN monitoring plan and execution and lead the USCAN Monitoring team
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy
- Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and develop team members' skills
- Lead small projects, convey performance expectations, and handle sensitive issues as needed
- Oversee team who reviews and approves commercial activities and spending via the aggregate spend tool and review committees
- Balance hands-on individual contributions with team leadership (player/coach)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry, with a focus in compliance or legal functions
- Proven leadership experience, including supporting and collaborating with globally distributed teams
- Demonstrated expertise in monitoring and/or auditing within regulated environments
- Hands-on “player/coach” approach, capable of balancing individual contributions with team leadership responsibilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Hybrid role based in either Chicago or Milwaukee with on-site presence required at least 3 days per week

- Desired: J.D./Masters degree preferred; post-graduate degree in law, business or relevant field; CAS or other leadership program
- Desired: Knowledge of key laws/regulations (e.g., FCPA and other global ABAC laws/regulations, AKS/FCA) and GEHC compliance processes, policies/procedures, tools, and controls
- Desired: Lean or Six Sigma experience
- Desired: Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, self-motivated, ability to handle confidential matters with discretion
- Desired: Outstanding communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills
