About the role

  • Report directly to the General Counsel and develop, implement, and monitor a global corporate compliance program across 50+ countries.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce comprehensive compliance policies and procedures, including code of conduct and ethics.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates to align with changing regulations and industry standards.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact on IDC's operations, particularly in research, data services, and government contracting.
  • Implement screening, monitoring, and reporting mechanisms to track compliance activities, issues, and remediation efforts.
  • Track and report compliance metrics and KPIs quarterly to senior leadership, the Audit Committee, internal compliance committee, and executive leadership team.
  • Develop and deliver corporate compliance training programs for employees at all levels.
  • Conduct compliance risk assessments and manage third-party risk reviews; develop mitigation strategies and investigate compliance concerns.
  • Work closely with internal audit to establish and maintain effective internal controls.
  • Liaise with Sales, Product, Marketing, Technology, Finance, HR and other teams to support compliance initiatives.
  • Support sales in responding to customer inquiries and questionnaires, support environmental reporting, and work with HR on employee concerns and investigations.
  • Foster a culture of integrity throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • JD or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a relevant field also considered.
  • Compliance Certification and Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) from the ABA are advantageous.
  • 7+ years of global compliance or legal experience, preferably in-house in technology or research and data services.
  • Proactive, team player, self-starter and flexible.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and legal research skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform well under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Collaborative approach to working with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver programs and initiatives from inception through completion.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook).
