Report directly to Asia Finance Shared Service Team Leader and be accountable for general accounting and reporting through timely and accurate service delivery
Process migration: learn, coordinate and work closely with business units to migrate accounting and finance processes; create comprehensive process documentation; assist in identifying and assessing processes for migration; serve as project contact and provide updates
Trainer: train junior team members on migrated processes; ensure complete transfer of knowledge via theoretical training, reverse shadowing, and support from parallel run to go-live; create training plans and provide feedback
Review: monitor junior team members' work, ensure error-free submissions, perform internal reviews prior to BU submission, follow quality checklist, and assist in root cause analysis for incidents
Accounting and Reporting: handle operations finance transactional tasks (e.g., invoicing, credit card refund, daily matching of premium), prepare/upload journal entries for month-end closing, perform account and balance sheet reconciliations, and support management reporting needs
Reconciliation: perform bank, intercompany, and system reconciliations to ensure completeness and correctness of financial information
Automation Champion: drive automation initiatives for assigned business unit processes, propose automation opportunities, support junior members' automation work, coordinate with Business Developers, and lead User Acceptance Testing
Perform daily operations and month-end tasks such as booking period-end close entries and ensuring all entries are posted before the General Ledger is closed
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or any related field
Minimum of 3 years of related work experience with progressive responsibility within accounting and management reporting field
At least 2 years of experience with an international organization or Shared Service Center
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in ambiguous environment and adapt to change while managing time and workload with aggressive timelines
Preferably with process migration background
Extensive experience in account analysis and reconciliation
Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel (mastery of formulas and pivot tables is a must; VBA is a plus)
Proficient in MS Office suite including Outlook, Word, Power Point
Willing to work on dayshift and overtime may be required to meet business deadlines
Strong interpersonal and English (written and verbal) communication skills
Ability to work independently, self-motivated, resourceful, and a team-player
