About the role
- Set up and operate 5-axis CNC machines to manufacture precision components
- Generate CAM programs using Siemens NX or similar software
- Read and interpret technical drawings and 3D models to guide machining strategy
- Choose appropriate tools and cutting parameters to meet quality and cycle time requirements
- Perform in-process inspections and make necessary adjustments
- Support precision part manufacturing at the Redmond facility
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in 5-axis CNC machining
- Proficiency in CAM programming – Siemens NX preferred
- Strong blueprint reading skills, including GD&T
- Hands-on CAM programming capabilities and machine operation confidence
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and 3D models
- Experience choosing appropriate tools and cutting parameters
- Ability to perform in-process inspections and make necessary adjustments
- Nice to have: Experience in aerospace or satellite component manufacturing
