About the role
- Analyze, design, and implement manufacturing processes to support production and improve efficiencies
- Develop and maintain CNC machining processes and programs (primarily 5-axis) for new and existing parts
- Collaborate with machinists and production staff to troubleshoot process and tooling issues
- Evaluate and improve tooling selection, speeds/feeds, and cutting strategies
- Design and document standardized work instructions, setup sheets, and process flows
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to quality and process issues
- Assist with new product introduction and ensure smooth transition from engineering to production
- Recommend and lead process improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, scrap, and downtime
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- 3-5 years of process engineering experience in a CNC machining environment in overhaul aerospace
- Strong understanding of CNC programming (Mastercam or similar) and G-code
- Familiarity with GD&T, blueprint reading, and precision measurement tools
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing troubleshooting and process optimization
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies (a plus)
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Able to work on-site in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Ability to work 1st shift (7 AM - 4 PM)
