About the role

  • Sell research products, data insights, and consulting services to new clients within Global 2000 companies.
  • Develop and implement sales strategy and go-to-market approach for assigned region.
  • Proactively identify, qualify, and close new sales opportunities; maintain robust pipeline and achieve quarterly targets.
  • Strategically prospect into senior management (Director, VP, C-Level) in R&D, Innovation, Business Development, Corporate Venturing, Strategy/M&A.
  • Accurately maintain opportunity information in Lux’s CRM (Salesforce).
  • Gain thorough understanding of Lux Research subscription and consulting offerings; demonstrate value to client challenges.
  • Collaborate with Business Development Representatives, Customer Experience Managers, Research Analysts and Consultants.
  • Individual contributor role focused on new client acquisition; engage C-Level executives in Chemicals & Industrials across North America.

Requirements

  • Must have experience selling to VP-level and above in enterprise organizations (>$1B revenue).
  • 7+ years of successful sales experience with a strong track record of new client acquisition.
  • Experience selling to Global 2000 companies (Chemicals & Industrials preferred) and winning new logos.
  • Demonstrated success as a “hunter” in complex, consultative B2B sales (research, advisory, or consulting preferred).
  • Proven ability to build champions, manage multi-stakeholder sales cycles, and close deals.
  • Track record of driving new business opportunities with average annual contract values of $100K+.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within North America 25–50%.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree (desired).
  • Formal training in complex consultative sales methodologies (e.g., Miller-Heiman, Challenger) (desired).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with executive audiences (desired).
  • Detail-oriented with disciplined approach to pipeline management (desired).
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment (desired).
