Manager

• Manage a loan portfolio, spanning numerous product and project types provided by LISC as part of its community development /lending activity.
• The position requires proactive management of closed loans including the following:
• Conducting credit assessment of loans involving the analysis of financial statements, project performance in comparison to underwriting projections and historical performance, and covenant compliance and preparing loan portfolio performance reports and risk rating assessments for committee
• Monitoring disbursements on lines of credit and predevelopment
• Effectively manage relationships with portfolio borrowers to ensure the performance of portfolio loans and develop new business opportunities through regular communication and periodic site visits, including communication with regards to pending maturity dates, late payments and loan covenant
• Tracking late, delinquent, and maturing loans to ensure that credit issues and loan maturities are addressed in a timely manner; coordinate across the Lending, Credit, Asset Management, Legal, and Loan Administration teams to ensure that all loan documentation and records are accurate and current.
• Identifying, prioritizing and engaging in problem solving with borrowers and offering recommendations when issues arise; propose and execute on loan workout and restructuring strategies.
• Evaluating the feasibility of proposed loan modifications and preparing post-closing amendment requests in accordance with LISC underwriting guidelines.
• Tracking insurance compliance on active loans and requesting and reviewing updated certificates, endorsements, and policies.
• Preparing write-off memos.
• Ensure the quality of data in LISC’s loan administration system, including development of policies and procedures for data collection and quality maintenance and oversight of the management and use of data.
• Perform additional loan monitoring on individual loans and prepare reports on the more complex loans, including loan restructurings, modifications and workouts.
• Perform ongoing borrower check-ins.
• Interact with LISC staff to provide accurate and timely information.
• Some travel is required.
• Perform additional duties, as required.

Asset Manager

Senior Director, Underwriting – Loan Administration

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Own the data inputs and maintenance of complex real estate fund models that support investment decisions across our portfolio
• Serve as the quality control expert, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data flowing through our systems
• Produce regular analytical reports and outputs that inform fund management and investor communications
• Run sensitivity analyses and scenarios that help our team understand fund performance under different conditions
• Work collaboratively with underwriting and asset management teams, providing the analytical foundation for their work
• Identify opportunities to streamline data collection and modeling processes

• Build partner capacity by supporting, developing, and expanding agencies and their efforts to design and deliver vertically-integrated career pathways that connect families with family-sustaining employment opportunities
• Support front-line career services staff by strengthening connections to wrap-around services, and brokering relationships with employers, and addressing employment inequities to improve career placement, growth, and mobility
• Lead the Community Fellows Program by recruiting host partners, supporting candidate outreach, facilitating cohort meetings, and coordinating professional development opportunities for Fellows
• Develop key indicators, monitor progress, evaluate site performance, and prepare qualitative and quantitative analyses of programs; track partner performance using internal data management systems
• Identify and address capacity gaps using evidence-based best practices
• Serve as LISC’s neighborhood liaison for assigned Quality of Life Plan area(s), representing LISC at local meetings and building relationships with resident leaders and partners
• Support implementation of the neighborhood’s Quality of Life Plan by aligning resources, facilitating collaboration, and advancing resident-driven priorities
• Explore opportunities to leverage LISC tools, programs, and investments to strengthen neighborhood plans and foster vibrant local economies

• Identify workforce funding opportunities and prepare proposals, applications, reports, presentations, and tours as required by funders, investors, LISC, and others

• Manage and coordinate grants/contracts with community-based partners and consultants through the lifecycle of the contract, including drafting program actions, processing disbursements, overseeing program activity, monitoring performance, and completing narrative and financial reporting requirements
• Collaborate with Executive Director on preparing annual workplan and budget for Income and Wealth Building program
• Participate in peer-to-peer learning opportunities with other LISC markets and coordinate site visits as appropriate
• Attend professional development workshops, trainings, and other community events that align with individual and program goals
• Provide content for Communications efforts to highlight program impact, achieved milestones, and other external-facing information on the Income and Wealth Building portfolio
• Provide input and support improvements to the local office’s organizational administrative systems and processes (e.g., new hire onboarding, grants/contracts administration, team delegation)

Program Officer, Workforce Development

• Oversee the management of the Small Business loan portfolio, spanning numerous product types and regions and serve as the workout lead for challenged loans.
• Position requires proactive oversight of and direct portfolio management of closed small business loans, including the following:
• Risk rating of loans and preparation of portfolio performance reports for committee review.
• Prepare quarterly loan watch reports and presenting to committee for review.
• Ensure that loan disbursements are communicated to and recorded accurately by LISC and CDC Small Business loan servicing personnel.
• Communicate with borrowers with regards to pending maturity dates, late payments and loan covenant compliance.
• Analyze loan performance against underwriting projections to identify any potential loan repayment problems.
• Identify, prioritize and engage in problem solving with borrowers and offer recommendations when issues arise.
• Review and track insurance certificates for active loans.
• Prepare post-closing amendment requests per LISC guidelines.
• Support the closing of loan amendments and restructurings by reviewing loan documentation to ensure that all deliverables have been provided and that legal documentation is consistent with credit approval.
• Make recommendations to enhance the structure of stressed credits.
• Negotiate workout and restructuring terms with borrowers and guarantors.
• Provide quantitative and qualitative rationale for proposed write-offs and prepare write-off memos.
• Management of the Small Business Asset Manager. Responsibilities include:
• Providing on-going training and advice on credit analysis and portfolio management
• Setting clear expectations and KPIs
• Conducting regular check-ins and providing feedback
• Reviewing the Asset Manager’s work including Loan Watch and Portfolio Monitoring reports and providing feedback on structure, consistency and quality.
• Work closely with LISC’s Small Business loan closer and CDC Small Business on the hand-off of closed loans.
• Ensure that, on a monthly basis, CDC Small Business submits a trial balance, remittance report, and a summary of any transaction adjustments, that LISC’s Loan Administration has confirmed receipt of monthly remittances, and that the Small Business Lending Asset Manager has reconciled the trial balance and provided a summary to the Chief Credit Officer, Vice President, Small Business Lending, and Loan Administration.
• Ensure the data in LISC’s loan administration system is consistent with loan approval terms and legal documents.
• Perform additional loan monitoring on individual loans and prepare reports on as-needed basis.
