Build a scalable, data-driven, end-to-end recruitment process across all levels of the company
Ensure recruitment collateral is values-aligned and represents the Lightship brand
Implement non-biased talent acquisition strategies to build a diverse and inclusive team
Support recruiting workflow: create & post jobs, sourcing, scheduling interviews, share offer details, initiate pre-employment screening, facilitate onboarding and orientation
Support DEIB best practices in outreach and interview process
Build, implement, and iterate a values-aligned performance management process and feedback mechanisms
Assess and improve performance management programs, job descriptions, performance standards, and evaluation tools
Transition HR systems including PEO, ATS, and other systems to scale with growth
Build and evolve HR policies, procedures, employee handbook, and internal processes
Act as employee champion and change agent for onboarding, offboarding, and employee relations
Support annual engagement surveys, internal reporting, HRIS and personnel records management, and exit interviews
Provide leadership on people-related issues and guide managers/employees in resolving employee relations issues through conflict resolution and coaching
Oversee accuracy and maintenance of payroll data, process payroll and off-cycle payments for multiple global entities, maintain tax filings, and manage garnishment orders
Maintain Lightship’s total rewards philosophy: compensation, bonus, and equity philosophies
Requirements
Willingness and desire to work independently without significant supervision
Anchor availability in standard operating hours for their geographic location and flex to US West Coast, US East Coast, and UK-based time zones
Ability to work up to 20 hours per week with potential to transition to full-time
Limited travel required (approximately 10%)
Strong ability to build and implement various new programs across the People continuum
Relationship-centricity: proven ability to form trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Strong knowledge of the most current, progressive approaches to engaging and supporting employees
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a dynamic environment

8+ years of progressive HR experience within a growing organization
2+ years of experience supporting healthcare, biotech, clinical trials, or other applicable industry
Experience at a highly collaborative organization where People strategy is closely tied to Business strategy
Bachelor’s Degree in a People-related field preferred; or requisite combination of education, training, and experience
COVID-19 vaccination required for positions that require travel, in-person participation, or are patient-facing
