Mechanical Engineer

• Develop and execute mechanical designs for linear actuation, windows/glazings, or closures, from conception through prototyping and production, selecting manufacturing technologies well matched to program volumes and in line with vehicle cost and performance targets.
• Develop and release design data and documentation to adequately specify subsystem content at RFQ, prototype and production release phases.
• Support selection of suppliers and act as primary contact for vehicle exterior component suppliers through the DFM, prototyping, and production readiness phases.
• Plan and carry out component and subsystem level testing to validate designs and identify opportunities for design improvement throughout the phases.
• Provide input into, and support the execution of system and vehicle level testing as needed.

Product Designer

• Design and build engaging applications for Android and iOS platforms.
• Work closely with backend developers to integrate APIs, third-party libraries, and cloud services (like Firebase) to ensure seamless data flow and functionality.
• Collaborate with our third-party development team on new features and releases.
• Develop, maintain, and extend cloud server applications and infrastructure.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment, and collaborate with designers, product managers, and test engineers.
• Adhere to best practices and coding standards, conduct code reviews, and maintain clear documentation for future upgrades and utilization.

• Design and implement Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) automated test infrastructure for our embedded systems
• Work closely with software and system owners to develop deep understanding of how our systems work
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop testing coverage requirements
• Author and execute test plans to ensure our embedded systems meet functional and safety requirements
• Root cause test failures and clearly document bugs for tracking purposes
• Support development testing in the lab and in the field

Senior Systems Test Engineer

Supply Chain

• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Procurement Specialists and supply chain contributors; set clear goals and expectations, deliver regular feedback, and build a high-performing, accountable team culture
• Own commodity strategy and sourcing decisions across assigned categories, including custom-engineered and long-lead components; lead supplier selection, RFQs, and competitive bidding processes
• Build and maintain strong relationships with a global supplier base; lead business reviews, drive performance accountability on quality, delivery, and cost, and manage escalations to resolution
• Lead negotiation of piece price agreements, tooling contracts, general terms and conditions, NDAs, and other commercial agreements; ensure Lightship’s commercial interests are protected
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Program Management, and Finance to support new product introduction, design changes, cost targets, and phase gate milestones; serve as the supply chain voice in cross-functional program reviews
• Identify and execute cost reduction opportunities; track and report supply chain spend against budget; own savings targets and present results to VP and executive leadership
• Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks — single-source dependencies, geopolitical exposure, supplier financial health, tariff and trade impacts, and capacity constraints
• Oversee inbound freight and carrier relationships; ensure on-time delivery of materials to support production schedules; drive continuous improvement in freight cost and transit performance
• Build and enforce procurement process discipline across the team; ensure accurate and timely PO management, vendor master data, and inventory records in NetSuite ERP; drive adoption of tools and workflows that scale
• Conduct regular supplier and partner site visits to assess capability, audit performance, and strengthen relationships; travel up to 25%

• Leading cross-functional teams and third parties/vendors to ensure successful project delivery. Overseeing clinical research conduct, including study start-up, enrollment, execution, and close-out
• Acting as liaison with the client and managing client contractual, organizational and relationship needs/expectations, related to operational delivery of assigned projects
• Managing project contractual deliverables and modifications, and preparing and delivering study-related updates, dashboards and reports to study teams, senior management, and sponsors / vendors / partners, including but not limited to:
• Ensuring project management systems are updated weekly to reflect accurate project status
• Serving as a point of escalation for project team members
• Ensuring project resources are appropriately assigned in project management system and updating forecasted project hours per resource to accurately reflect project needs.
