• Own onboarding and offboarding end-to-end: offer letters, I-9 verification, background checks, tools provisioning, system access setup, HM coordination, 30/60/90 check-in process, and a clean, documented exit process every time
• Run payroll operations - adding new employees, processing changes, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring every run is accurate and on time
• Manage the benefits program day-to-day: open enrollment, carrier coordination, employee questions, a potential PEO migration, stipend maintenance, usage tracking, and feedback loops
• Own people compliance across all active states: SOS registrations, unemployment insurance, quarterly and annual filings, employee records, handbook maintenance, and working fluency with tools like Mosey, Corpnet, and AbstractOps
• Own employee engagement including pulse surveys, feedback initiatives, and sentiment tracking across a distributed team. Surface themes to leadership and turn feedback into actionable improvements
• Support performance management cycles: mid-year and end-of-year reviews, manager check-ins, scorecard coordination, and keeping feedback loops tight without adding unnecessary process
• Coordinate and manage office gatherings, employer branding events, and more intimate team outings
• Spearhead future office relocation efforts including broker relationships, touring spaces, coordinating buildouts, and ensuring seamless move-in processes
• Administer equity in Carta, partnering with the CoS and Finance on option grants, termination processing, and cap table hygiene
• Partner with COO and Recruiting Lead on headcount planning, leveling, and compensation frameworks
• Partner with Recruiting Lead on candidate experience and recruiting operations including interview coordination, offer letter workflows, ATS hygiene, and keeping the recruiting-to-people handoff clean
• Use AI tools actively to automate repetitive workflows, draft communications, and build more scalable processes — this is an expectation, not a nice-to-have

People Operations Manager

Account Executive

• Lead the full sales cycle - from outbound prospecting to live demos, proposal management, contract negotiation, and closing
• Own and execute a GTM plan for your territory, identifying high-priority customers and creatively breaking into accounts
• Run tailored, high-impact product demos that highlight Kaizen’s values, address pain points, and align with customer goals
• Self-motivated to spend up to 50% of your time in the field, as necessary - attending conferences, leading in-person demos, conducting educational sessions, and building relationships with public sector leaders
• Maintain active communication with prospects, driving momentum and strengthening relationships across long sales cycles
• Bring fresh approaches to government sales - we welcome creativity (and curiousity…!)
• Work closely with operations, partnerships, and other GTM teammates to share insights and align on outbound strategy
• Partner with Design and Engineering to relay customer feedback and help influence roadmap direction

Customer Support

• Design escalation paths from first principles: separate reactive work from scalable work, route escalation-ready tickets automatically, and specialize the high-skill motions
• Own the support metrics that matter: First Response Time, Time to Close, CSAT, CX Score, NPS, and AI deflection. Move them, not just monitor them
• Build the playbook for standing up support on new products and customer we onboard, so growth doesn't mean chaos
• Own and optimize the support tooling stack, including Intercom and Fin: tune automation and retrieval so routine tickets resolve themselves and agents get smarter context on the ones that don't
• Own help center and training content, and lead training sessions that get the team fluent on new product features fast
• Build feedback loops across product, engineering, and deployment so support insight improves the platform, not just the queue
• Work directly with customers, designing the systems that serve them and personally resolving the escalations that test those systems

Customer Support Operations Manager

Chief Technology Officer

• Command the Platform and Delivery organizations as distinct operating units — each with its own culture, mandate, and accountability structure — and be the single point of accountability for the output of both
• Own the Kaizen 2.0 architecture: sequence the build of 12 core modules in the right order, hold the line on abstraction, and ensure the foundation compounds rather than fractures under delivery pressure
• Lead the Blacksmith initiative — Kaizen's internal AI configuration harness that transforms agency requirements documents into runnable, pre-configured repositories and eliminates the time-to-first-commit tax on every new federal engagement
• Define and enforce the Platform–Delivery interface: module readiness maps, API contracts, and Blacksmith handoff protocols that keep Delivery fast and Platform honest
• Drive federal technical strategy — FedRAMP posture, DoD IL4/IL5 readiness, and procurement-aware architecture decisions that keep Kaizen competitive in federal BD conversations
• Recruit, develop, and retain builders who operate at the frontier of AI-native government technology — and who understand that shipping for government is different from shipping for anyone else

Art Director

• Own Kaizen's content engine end-to-end across video, podcast, written, and visual formats for employer brand, investor brand, and customer-facing channels.
• Define and document the brand strategy, voice, and visual guidelines that scale across every team and touchpoint.
• Produce video and podcast content that brings the mission, our customers, and our team to life.
• Design and beautify sales assets, proposals, case studies, and one-pagers in close partnership with sales, customer success, and proposals.
• Lead website overhauls, marketing collateral, swag, and event presence so Kaizen shows up with intention at every conference, board meeting, and recruiting moment.
• Partner with product designers to weave Kaizen's brand identity seamlessly into the resident and public servant experience.
• Support executive leadership with engaging communications for internal and external audiences, including board meetings, investor updates, and customer on-sites.
• Quarterback third-party PR firms, video production vendors, and freelance creatives to extend your output without expanding the team.
• Use AI tools across the workflow to scale a team of 1 into the output of a full creative department.

Creative Director

Security Engineer

• Architect and operationalize security across infrastructure, platform, CI/CD, and application layers, with a focus on AWS (including GovCloud) and Terraform
• Lead readiness across federal compliance frameworks — FedRAMP, CMMC, and DoD Impact Levels — translating NIST 800-53 and related controls into real engineering implementations, and owning the SSPs, POA&Ms, and technical policy documentation
• Build continuous compliance and audit-readiness workflows that make accreditation a byproduct of how we ship, not a separate workstream
• Be smart about AI and tooling — use automated AI-driven security scanning, modern hardened-image platforms like Chainguard, and other leverage points to multiply the impact of a small security team
• Establish secure software supply chain practices: SBOMs, image signing, workload identity, and hardened deployment pipelines
• Own the technical relationship with assessors, auditors, and federal security stakeholders — you are the credible technical voice in those rooms
• Drive a secure-by-default engineering culture so residents and public servants can trust the systems we put in front of them

Senior Security Engineer

Business Operations

• Take on a rotating portfolio of operational and strategic projects. Scope spans financial ops, customer ops, deployment support, people ops, HR/payroll/benefits, dashboards, and beyond
• Lead diligence on new verticals and market expansions. Build the business case, scope the entry plan, and project manage the launch
• Drive or support compliance, legal, and infrastructure workstreams that unlock new customers and the next tier of growth, from security reviews and internal controls to the certifications buyers require
• Support the sales team on the operational backbone of revenue. Pipeline and forecast hygiene, deal desk for complex government procurements, and the dashboards leadership uses to run revenue reviews
• Build the AI-native tooling and automations that give every team at Kaizen leverage. Default to systems that compound, not one-off fixes that break next quarter
• Manage external vendors across tax, compliance, benefits, and software procurement. Keep them honest and the relationships productive
• Translate ambiguous asks into structured plans, name the right collaborators, project manage end-to-end, and jump in to execute when it's faster than handing it off
