About the role

  • Drive and support sales efforts throughout the Food Service distribution segment
  • Prospect, develop, and manage new and existing sales opportunities to grow market share and profitability
  • Direct and manage implementation of customer contracts, announcements, promotions, and sales objectives
  • Secure new accounts via cold calling, account research, product sampling, and meetings
  • Maintain customer relationships by presenting promotional opportunities and attending food shows and events
  • Manage account services with quality checks, follow-ups, and resolution of customer concerns
  • Consistently deliver on agreed targets for case volume, net sales, and revenue growth
  • Implement and drive go-to-market strategies and supporting tactics
  • Collaborate with customer and distributor partners to develop sales execution plans
  • Provide day-to-day account management, addressing operational, logistical, and pricing issues with rapid turn-around
  • Manage brokers, represent Izzio at food and trade shows, submit reports capturing activity and results
  • Report to the Senior Vice President of Food Service Sales

Requirements

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of regional/territory sales experience in Food Service distribution sales required, preferably in an Artisan Bakery setting
  • Strong sales and marketing acumen
  • Energetic, proactive, takes calculated risks, and perseveres to attain goals
  • Experience in sales planning and tactical execution
  • Position requires extensive travel and willingness to work a flexible schedule
  • Successful candidate will be a “Hunter” first, with a strong farming ability
  • Previously demonstrated success in achieving incremental product placement with operators and distributors
  • Ability to survive and thrive in an opportunistic and entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and spoken communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Must be located in the Central Region (IL, MI, MN, OH, KS)
