Conduct ongoing primary research through interviews with OEMs and ODMs in China, component suppliers and distributors/retailers to develop country-level market insights including high-quality sell-in data
Develop and maintain a robust network of industry contacts in Mainland China and Chinese companies’ overseas subsidiaries
Work closely with data analyst teams to combine primary research findings with secondary data sources and create comprehensive market models
Enhance country-level data accuracy by developing advanced methodologies and strategic triangulation techniques
Evaluate in-market, go-to-market strategies of leading Chinese TV manufacturers including product pricing, market positioning, distribution strategy, and partnerships
Monitor and analyze Chinese vendors’ local manufacturing facilities, production strategy, ODM capacity constraints, and supply chain dynamics
Key contributor to quarterly country-level market tracker and forecast reports and present findings to stakeholders
Contribute to development of new research initiatives focused on China TV market dynamics and Chinese vendors’ global expansion strategy
Respond to client inquiries and work with account managers to ensure research needs are met
Occasional travel overseas to attend industry events, meet contacts, and conduct in-person research
Requirements
5-10 years of professional experience in sales and business development, or relevant role within the TV industry
Preferably from TV sets vendor side or ODMs with extensive industry network and experience
Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field
Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with diverse data sets
Excellent network of industry contacts across Chinese TV OEMs and ODMs
Self-disciplined to work independently with minimal supervision
Cultural awareness for working within a global virtual team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
