Supervise a team of Medical Laboratory Technicians analyzing samples to help veterinarians diagnose and treat pets
Organize staff schedules, coordinate workflow, and oversee costs and metrics
Troubleshoot diagnostic analyzers and resolve workflow and turnaround time challenges
Act as both a business leader and people leader for the lab and line of business
Coach and develop employees to reach business goals and their full potential
Promote continuous improvement, collaboration, inclusiveness, and lab safety
Requirements
Directly supervised 10+ employees in a fast-paced and/or high-volume work environment
Knowledge of human clinical or veterinary testing and procedures
Passion for people leadership
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, innovative work environment
Able to meet physical requirements: standing and sitting for extended periods of time, phone & computer use, extended reach, lifting up to 50lb, and specific vision ability – close, color, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Willingness to work Tuesday-Saturday, 8:30am-5:00pm; reliable and dependable attendance
Awareness of potential exposure to biohazards, agents known to cause zoonotic diseases, and hazardous chemicals
