About the role

  • Engage in and support new product/service development for Medicaid Financing, including facilitating discussions with Subject Matter Experts and client servicing leads
  • Engage in research and market analysis to support product development and compile and disseminate developments to accelerate scaling of new product/market offerings
  • Synthesize information on Medicaid finance topics and staff/manage standing or ad hoc workgroups
  • Support Director/Vice President and Associate Director for Innovation in accelerating internal knowledge sharing and driving MF new product and market development
  • Train client servicing teams on new initiatives and create, foster and track conversations that create solutions and deliverables
  • Track and communicate next steps and follow-up items to internal audiences
  • Deliver internal projects, project management, and new business activities
  • Monitor the health care landscape nationally and in states of interest to bring developing issues and concerns to the attention of the Firm
  • Conduct targeted analyses and research on issues related to potential new Medicaid financing products and/or markets, federal regulations and guidance, and state Medicaid program implementation
  • Leverage policy and/or healthcare solution expertise to help leads develop, document and communicate new solutions
  • Perform assigned project tasks with proactive project management and minimal supervision
  • Deliver subject matter expertise, consulting and strategic services; manage assigned primary research and/or solution development; assist with project plan development, analysis, presentation development, and delivery of internal presentations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Public Health, Health Administration
  • Advanced degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Public Health, Health Administration, business, economics or MBA preferred (or additional relevant experience in lieu of such advanced degree)
  • Seven (7) or more combined years in a public healthcare policy or project management role and/or in the healthcare consulting industry; Seven (7) or more years of progressively responsible work experience in health or human services policy research, consulting, or project management, or 5+ years of post-graduate, progressively responsible work experience in consulting or operational experience in health care and/or health policy research/analysis
  • Experience with Medicaid preferred
  • Relevant experience in the federal, state or private health insurance plan industry sector strongly desired
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Share Point
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with clients and other outside audiences
  • Experience organizing and coordinating the work of others
  • Professional writing experience highly desirable
  • Previous project/task management experience strongly desired; attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently and in teams
  • Experience delivering services on several projects simultaneously
  • Time management skills
